Dew of Hermon for Today, April 3, 2025

Welcome to Dew of Hermon, the daily morning online prayer meeting of the House of Prayer Evangel Church! As we gather in the virtual sanctuary, we invite the Holy Spirit to descend upon us, refreshing and renewing our spirits. Just as the dew of Hermon refreshes the mountains of Israel (Psalm 133:3), may the dew of God's presence refresh and revitalize us for the day ahead.
As we navigate the complexities and challenges of our world, chaos and unrest are inherent to the human experience. However, as believers, we are blessed with massive hope or recourse to unseat all forces of unrest. In Psalm 46:10, we are instructed to "be still and know that I am God." By this, we are called to quietness. We can cease striving, relax, let go of anxieties and trust in God. The emphasis is on God's sovereignty and power. God is always in control and we must recognize that. He alone will be exalted among the nations, and exalted in the earth. His ultimate victory and glory reach throughout the world.
As we begin this new day, this is a powerful reminder that amidst the turmoil, God remains our rock, our refuge, and our peace. As we seek to neutralize the forces of chaos that threaten to upend our lives, may we find solace in the promises of Scripture, and may we emerge stronger, more resilient, and more rooted in our faith. Therefore, we come before God's throne of grace, humbly seeking His guidance, protection, and empowerment. We pray that this online prayer meeting will be a sacred space where we can connect with God and with each other, sharing burdens, joys, and testimonies. Let us join our hearts and voices in prayer, as we seek to start the day with a sense of purpose, peace, and divine direction.
Let's begin by giving thanks:
1 Praise, my soul, the King of heaven;
to his feet your tribute bring.
Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven,
evermore his praises sing.
Alleluia, alleluia!
Praise the everlasting King!
2 Praise him for his grace and favor
to his people in distress.
Praise him, still the same as ever,
slow to chide, and swift to bless.
Alleluia, alleluia!
Glorious in his faithfulness!
3 Fatherlike he tends and spares us;
well our feeble frame he knows.
In his hand he gently bears us,
rescues us from all our foes.
Alleluia, alleluia!
Widely yet his mercy flows!
4 Angels, help us to adore him;
you behold him face to face.
Sun and moon, bow down before him,
dwellers all in time and space.
Alleluia, alleluia!
Praise with us the God of grace!
